The Lizard and Helston area has a great wealth of talented arts and crafts folk. Painters, potters, sculptors, wood-turners, jewellery makers, weavers, knitters and photographers have all made this area their home, drawing their inspiration from the magnificent scenery of our magical peninsula. Pretty, marbled, pebble beaches, meandering creeks, sandy coves, stunning headlands, rich fields, flower filled lanes all enhanced by the unique quality of Cornish light. In winter wild crashing seas and empty windswept beaches provide an ever changing canvas to work from. Local artisans work and sell from their studios so watch out for sign posts down country lanes and specialist craft trails that take in individual work shops.
