Segway Taster Sessions - Summer 2009. Throughout 2009 Futureworld are looking to bring their amazing "Segway" personal transporters to Truro, Falmouth and other town around Cornwall. These taster sessions will allow people to experience the thrill of the Segway and to find out more information on how you can book a fab "Segway Safari" at Future World @ Goonhilly. The National Seal Sanctuary is open from 10am most days. New for 2007 Sea Lion Lagoon, café and gift shop. Kennack Divers provide training & guided dives around The Lizard Peninsula.
Poldark Mine, part of the new Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, has a tour described as the most atmospheric in Britain, gemsands where you can find real diamonds and a range of other activities, a Museum and much more.
The Marconi centre at Poldhu houses a fascinating telecommunications exhibition to mark this historic site where in 1901 the first wireless radio message was sent to Canada. The Lizard Wireless station restored by The National Trust in 2001 contains replicas of the original equipment Marconi used in his pioneering wireless experiments.
